DataWipe (datawipe.io) is a free privacy-focused web application that provides verified instructions for opting out of data brokers. We are committed to practicing what we preach: collecting as little data as possible.

Our Plan Builder feature accepts inputs like your state, exposure type preferences, and effort level to generate a personalized opt-out plan. These inputs are processed entirely in your browser session and are not stored on our servers.

We collect standard server logs through our hosting provider (Vercel), which may include IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used solely for maintaining service reliability and are retained according to Vercel's data retention policies.

Analytics

We use PostHog for anonymous, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use DataWipe. This helps us improve the service. PostHog may collect anonymized usage data such as page views and feature interactions. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Cookies

DataWipe uses only essential cookies required for the site to function properly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If analytics cookies are introduced in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate DataWipe:

• Vercel — Web hosting and content delivery.
• Railway — API hosting.
• PostHog — Privacy-respecting product analytics.
